The hall of fame honors the past, present and future of female basketball. The intent is for the hall of fame to be a place of achievement and inspiration. Located on the building is a large 30-foot basketball, which weighs ten tones.
The Beck Cultural Exchange Center is a museum that is filled with thousands of photographs, artifacts and exhibits that preserves black history in America. An extensive resource library is also located at this center.
The museum's collection includes anthropology, archaeology, decorative arts, medicine and local history. The museum is located in the University of Tennessee. Over 38,000 square feet of space is featured. Exhibitions are dedicated to supporting university programs.
Over 200 years of history has been preserved by the historical society. Many exhibits are located in the museum and are constantly changing. Permanent exhibits are also featured. Historian Dr. J.G.M Ramsey founded the museum in 1834. Closed on major holidays, Saturdays and Sundays.
